Marry very young girls. 14, 15 and even younger.

2. Send men on extremely long missions. 3 years or more...So they aren’t marrying until about 24 or 25.

3. Allow some missionaries who were already married to date and find new wives on missions,

4. Marry other men’s wives.

5. Send men to war like the Mormon Battalion.

6. Specially target single women on missions.

7. Threaten men if they dated some girls and even kill and castrate.

8. Excommunicate men for small offenses to push them out of competition.

9. Allow wealth to accumulate in the hands of leaders.

10. Push young couples out of Salt Lake to other settlements so that leaders got first pick of immigrant women.

Other related posts:

Joseph Smith is a Sexual Predator

Brigham Young had a favorite wife

John Taylor's Family in 1886

Who is keeping the law of chastity?

Fred Pages - Issues Facing Mormonismhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09599964706353606646noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5795949368632311917.post-32411001753844118882020-11-11T14:00:00.000-08:002020-11-11T14:00:07.552-08:00Sarah Ann Briggs - Mormons Exploit Children

Sarah Ann Briggs was a survivor of the Martin Handcart Tragedy.

She also is another example of the Mormon exploitation of young girls.

She lost her father and two sibling in 1857 to cold and starvation in the handcart tragedy. See D&C 32

In LDS Church History books it is typically called The Mission to the Lamanites.

The Primary Manual spends almost two pages talking about the mission

The difference can be seen by comparing these two sources:

This quote is from the Church History Primary Manual -
Missionaries of other churches were jealous and asked the United States
government to keep the Latter-day Saint missionaries out of the Indian territory.

From a BYU History Paper:
"Richard W. Cummins, the Indian agent learned about the elder's activities and ordered them to desist and leave at once. Government regulations forbade work among the Indians without a special permit issued by the Superintendent of Indian affairs, a regulation with which the elders had failed to comply." Source

The Primary Manual does not say that the Mormon Missionaries were breaking the law by preaching to the Indians.

Calling the other churches jealous is such a joke. One of the spiritual highlights of pre-World War II Church history in the Pacific was Elder David O. McKay’s visit to the missions of that vast area. And one of the most important events of that tour occurred during the Hui Tau of 23–25 April, 1921. Elder McKay spoke at least seven times during the three days of meetings, but as he began his first talk he said: “O, how I wish I could speak to you in your own language to tell you what is in my heart, but since I cannot, I am going to pray that while I speak in my own tongue you may have the gift of interpretation and discernment. While you may not understand my words, the Spirit of the Lord will bear witness to you of my words that I give to you under the inspiration of the Lord.” Gordon C. Young, one of the missionaries who was there, later described what happened as Elder McKay continued to talk:

<div class="" data-aid="127236230" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #333333; font-family: "Open Sans", Zoram, "noto sans", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; line-height: 30.6px; margin-bottom: 26px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
“He spoke several sentences and then Stuart [Meha] would interpret into Maori. Then he’d make another statement in English and Stuart would interpret. All at once everything was quiet, and all over the congregation the Maoris … called out, ‘Stuart, sit down, don’t interpret, we can understand what the Apostle is saying.’ They didn’t [all] speak English, and they didn’t understand anything President McKay was saying before, but now they were calling out to Stuart to sit down. He was rather disconcerted. … Stuart didn’t know what to do, so he started to interpret again. The calls came again, ‘Stuart, sit down. Don’t interpret.’ So Stuart just sat down, and President McKay went on and gave one of the most beautiful talks I have ever heard in my life, and those people all understood what he was saying.”5
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">What you might not be aware of is that the story is A MYTH.
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">1. Snow had been pushing tithing for months before that.
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">2. He promised a return to Missouri in 20 years, not rain.
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">3. The rain that did come was so violent that it washed out roads.
The Edmund's Tucker Act of 1887 had nearly destroyed the church financially.
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Early in 1899 - To solve the debt, President Snow make several measures to help solve the problem:

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The Church sold securities and bonds totaling more than $1 million.

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The practice of tithing was reinforced.

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Will Brooks’ reaction to the dramatic scene of revelation in the movie Windows of Heaven: “I must protest the whole thing—that is NOT how it was. President Snow was not weak and shaky . . . . Nor was there the great dramatic moment of the picture. He made a good talk, a strong talk. He did pause for a while at one point, but the audience saw nothing that could be interpreted as a revelation.” Juanita Brooks, Uncle Will Tells His Story (Salt Lake City: Taggart & Company Inc. 1970), 64.

Returning to Zion

At the conclusion of the trip, in a meeting of congregated church leaders, the prophet, as
well as other speakers, spoke powerfully and in detail about the timeline and the mechanics of
the return to Jackson County. Elder Anthony W Ivins recorded that President Snow taught,
“Within ten, fifteen or 20 years, perhaps sooner, we are going to Jackson County.” Elder Francis
M. Lyman echoed this prophecy in his own comments, supposing that President Snow himself
would be alive for the return to Jackson County.

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Text From Primary Story:
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">On 17 May 1899 President Snow spoke at a conference in St. George, Utah. During his talk, he suddenly paused. The room was still as everyone waited for him to speak. When he started talking again, his voice was strong, and the people could tell that he was speaking under the inspiration of the Lord. He said, “The word of the Lord is: The time has now come for every Latter-day Saint … to do the will of the Lord and to pay his tithing in full. That is the word of the Lord to you, and it will be the word of the Lord to every settlement throughout the land of Zion” (quoted in LeRoi C. Snow, “The Lord’s Way Out of Bondage,” p. 439).

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">President Snow told the Saints that the Lord was displeased with them because they had not been paying their tithing. He promised the people that if they paid their tithing, rain would fall and they would be able to plant and harvest good crops.

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">After his talk in St. George, President Snow wanted the whole Church to know about the revelation he had received. On his way back to Salt Lake City, he stopped in many settlements to preach the law of tithing to the people, and when he returned to Salt Lake City, he called an important meeting in the temple to talk to priesthood leaders about tithing. In one talk he said: “The poorest of the poor can pay tithing; the Lord requires it at our hands. … Everybody should pay tithing. … The law shall be observed. … And we shall pay our debts. … God bless you” (quoted in Carter E. Grant, The Kingdom of God Restored, p. 546). The Saints everywhere accepted what President Snow said and started paying tithing.

Both the scope of production and publicity for the film were the greatest of any BYU film up to this point. The thirty minute commission grew into a fifty minute production--their longest yet--and hundreds of Church members were involved, including Harold B. Lee, who scouted for period locomotives. The members in St. George, including some who had been present in the actual meeting with President Snow, were particularly stallwart in creating this film, which they saw as their story. President David O. McKay, who had also known President Snow, was greatly moved, and after a St. George premiere it was distributed throughout the wards and missions and became BYU's most popular film; it effected a similar retrenchment in tithing, and the financial crisis was solved.

Scott Whitaker's script was apparently based primarily on the writings of Lorenzo Snow's son LeRoi. In his article, E. Jay Bell discusses several of the differences between the historical and the filmic events, foremost among them the fact that President Snow never mentioned anything about rainfall in connection with tithing.

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The British Mission of Wilford Woodruff, Heber C. Kimball, John Taylor, Brigham Young and others was an absolute success. Around 5,000 English joined the church by 1842. The majority immigrated to the United States. <span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Why did they have such success?

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The missionaries were teaching a message of hope, miracles and the coming Millennium. <span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">But also....
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">England had suffered several economic disasters and crop failures just prior to the Missionaries arriving. Queen Victoria had just become Queen and Charles Dickens was writing his famous stories including Oliver Twist. The fertility rate was almost six children per adult woman and the average lifespan was less than 40. About 1/4 the babies born died before reaching their first birthday.
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">My Final Thoughts
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">More than 100,000 British immigrated to the United States each year between 1838 and 1842. About one percent of those were Mormon converts. The beauty and promise of Zion and Nauvoo was taught. Rolling hills, cheap farm land and a gathering of like minded people motivated many.
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">

From my reading of history and through personal experience, I know that greater the poverty, the greater the chances of receiving a spiritual prompting about making a dramatic change.
British folk than millennialism. Fundamental to the theology
of many groups especially the dissenting sects was not only a
belief in the literal Second Coming of Christ but also in the
imminence of that event. It took little religious adjustment
to accept the Mormon teaching that Christ would come again
soon: only the concept that he would establish the Kingdom of
God in America was different. The Mormons taught further
and with monumental self assurance that they would soon
witness a millennial revolution. Source
By the 21st century definition this ISN’T sex trafficking because they did not “ illegally “ transport the women. .... UNLESS they lied to them about what they would get when they arrived. Polygamy was publicly announced in 1852 and the story spread quickly through Europe. So literate European women might have known that they were heading into polygamy, but since the missionaries targetted the uneducated, they likely did not know.

It is a common theme even in LDS Sunday School classes today to praise young teenage girls from Denmark or Germany that were willing to leave their families to join the church, “embrace the gospel”.

Photo taken 30 AD by Dove

The Mormon Church has never, ever, ever changed anything in their ordinances.

The most obvious reason that the Catholic Church is run by Satan is that they changed the baptism ceremony. Jesus was baptized by immersion in the River Jordan when he was 30 years old.

John the Baptist held Jesus in the exact manner shown. Jesus did not have to use his free hand to pinch his nose. Jesus wore white, and John wore gray.... wait, that part isn't essential.

which is better left or right?

John the Baptist then later appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery and gave them the priesthood and they baptized each other.

Photo taken by John T.B.

This took place in 1829 but Joseph and Oliver forgot to tell anyone for six years.

Back to the important part. <strike>Mormons</strike> <strike>LDS</strike> Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are baptized exactly like Jesus was at age 30. And they have never changed any ordinances... ever. That would be really bad, and clearly from the Devil. OK. Now it is 8 years old, not 30 but no babies.

Satan is Happy

Aware of polygamy, 2nd Anointing
polyandry, racism, Shinehah.

The Catholics sprinkle babies. Why does a baby need to be baptized? They are so cute and soft and perfect and they can't possibly make an eternal decision as babies. One that might cause them to hire a lawyer many years later as adults.

(See quitmormon.com ) 8 year olds are totally aware of all the issues in the Church and are prepared to make these covenants and would not chose to be baptized in order to have an ice cream party with friends.

Conclusion: <strike>Members of the Church</strike>...

Mormons have never changed their temple ordinances!!

Although we don't talk about the temple ceremony, it is essential that we show some of the things about the temple in order to present evidence that Mormons have never changed ordinances like the Great and Abominable Church.

I've been slogging through Woodruff's personal history. These are examples of what he wrote in his daily journal and then how he re-wrote the stories in 1865. In each case, they became more miraculous.
28 We rode through Williamstown & pleasant garden & other towns & spent the night. Elder Taylor had a poor turn & fainted to the ground. He soon recoverd & was well at evening.

29th We Passed through Indianapolis the Capitol of the State. Rode two miles & stoped. We were oblieged to stop. We called for a few hours in a house by the way side. We then took him into the waggon & drove to Elder Eldridge & spent the day nursing Elder Taylor. He took a Course of Thompsonian medicine.

On the 28th, while travelling, Elder Taylor fell to the ground as though he had been knocked down. We administered to him, and he revived. On the following day he fell again, and fainted several times; it seemed as though the destroyer would take his life. We travelled with him four days after he was taken sick. His sickness proved to be bilious fever. We stopped with him two days at a German tavern, in Germantown, Wayne County, Indiana, with a kind family with whom he was acquainted. Father Coltrin would stay no longer. I proposed to remain with Brother Taylor, but as I was sick with fever and ague, and not able to take care of myself, Brother Taylor advised me to continue my journey with Father Coltrin, saying, "It is easier to take care of one sick man than two." I committed him into the hands of God, and the family promised to do all in their power to make him comfortable. I parted from him with a heavy heart.
Changes in the story
In the revised version Woodruff adds that he had administered to Taylor and revived him. He also comments more on his own sickeness and how much he wanted to help Taylor and how sad it was to leave him. He also doesn't mention that Taylor had taken a medicine. The word enemy is changed to be "destroyer".

Journal Entry as written in 1839

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">22 Joseph was in Montrose & it was a day of Gods power. There was many Sick among the Saints on [p.348] both sides of the river & Joseph went through the midst of them taking them by the hand & in a loud voice Commanding them in the name of Jesus Christ to arise from their beds & be made whole & they leaped from their beds made whole by the power of God. Elder Eligah Fordham was one among the number & he with the rest of the sick rose from his bed & followed Joseph from house to house & it was truly a time of rejoicing.

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">What Woodruff wrote in 1862 when preparing his Journal for publication:

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">July 22.--I was with President Joseph Smith [Jr.] and his council and the Twelve; it was a day of God's power with the Prophet. He healed many who were sick nigh unto death, among whom were Elijah Fordham and Joseph B. Nobles [Noble]; even the wicked rabble followed to see the sick healed. As Joseph was about to cross the river, a man came to him and asked him if he would go about three miles and heal two of his small children, who were twins, about three months old, and were sick nigh unto death. He was a man of the world, he had never heard a sermon preached by a Latter-day Saint. Joseph said he could not go, but he would send a man. After hesitating a moment, he turned to me and said, "You go with this man and heal his children," at the same time giving me a red silk handkerchief, and said, "After you lay hands upon them, wipe their faces with it, and they shall be healed; and as long as you will keep that handkerchief, it shall ever remain as a league between you and me." I went and did as I was commanded, and the children were healed.

“It is thought by some that our enemies would be satisfied with my destruction,” he said, “but I tell you that as soon as they have shed my blood, they will thirst for the blood of every man in whose heart dwells a single spark of the spirit of the fullness of the gospel.”

Drawing his sword and raising it to the sky, Joseph urged the men to defend the liberties that had been denied them in the past. “Will you all stand by me to the death,” Joseph asked, “and sustain, at the peril of your lives, the laws of our country?”

The truth is that he went to his death swinging. We do know that he had a gun smuggled into his jail cell and that he shot at six times. Some sources say that two men died from the gunshots, but it isn't certain.
It is also questionable if Joseph really thought he would die. He had been remarkably resourceful in the past at getting out of tough situations and he did have the assurance that Governor Ford would protect him.
Food and water were short or contaminated. The weather was extreme. The men were fighting each other and many were blaming Joseph Smith for their suffering. A man named Sylvester Smith was very angry with The Prophet. Joseph rebuked Sylvester and the other men. Almost every horse got sick. The men repented of their complaining. Every horse got better, except Sylvester Smith’s horse, which died.

Why it is wrong:

The purpose of the lesson appears to be:
Argue against authority at your own peril.

If you disagree with the Prophet or other church leadership, your horse might die or something terrible might happen. What a terrible message to give children. Church leaders make mistakes all the time. Don’t give the message that if you disagree you will be cursed.

The fact is that the expedition was horribly planned. Even though Joseph Smith had months to prepare. They didn’t take nearly enough provisions or money and their equipment was poor. The horses were suffering more than the men and often went days without adequate or clean water. It isn’t surprising that the men complained and that a horse died.

The lesson oversimplifies that if you disagree, your horse will died. When there are so many other factors to consider. This also creates a modern church culture that even if the criticism of a leader is justified, you should still not complain.

Further Reading
Signature Books - Journal Entry

BYU - Studies Article

Wikipedia Arti
Chapter 37 says that the Nauvoo Expositor was "filled with vicious lies" about Joseph Smith.

The reality is that the "Church History" Primary Manual contains more lies than the Nauvoo Expositor and when William Law called out Joseph Smith's abuse and polygamy it was true.

Is it time to destroy the printing presses of the LDS Church ? No, but it is time to call them out on the lies, myths and half truths that are contained in a manual taught to children.

"Some enemies of the Church....started a newspaper in which they told many vicious lies about Joseph Smith. The members of the Church were angry about these lies. Joseph Smith, who was mayor of Nauvoo at the time, called a meeting of the city council, which was composed of both Church members and nonmembers.
From Family Search.org

<span style="color: #333331; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; white-space: pre-line;">I am including an article from the Church News (date unknown) written by Joseph Lundstrom and titled Pioneer Mother Lives Precept ‘Whither Thou Goest, I Will Go’.
“How is Ma? Is she better?” The large sleepless eyes of the little girl searched the face of her father as he looked out of the wagon. Six children stood in front of him. The oldest was 13. Orson Spencer smiled a smile of comfort at his children.
“She’s better. We’re going to take her over to (Bullocks’) cabin. You children be good and stay in the other wagon.”
For nearly a month, ever since they had left Nauvoo, mother Spencer had lain ill in the wagon. For the last ten days it had rained and snowed unceasingly. The temperature was down to 10 degrees below zero. It was too hard to keep her warm and dry in the wagon, with only a canvas top. Once things got wet, bedding, clothing, it was impossible to get them dry again.
Consider Turning Back
Once Orson Spencer had suggested that his wife and children return to (New York) to the care of her family where she could regain her precious health, her strength. But Catherine Curtis Spencer knew that this could not be. When she and her husband had joined the Church, her family disavowed her. Said her father, “You may return home only if you renounce ‘Mormonism.’”
Orson Spencer turned from his children to his sick companion. A kettle, set under a hole in the canvas to catch the rain, was beginning to overflow. He emptied it and hurriedly put it back under the hole. Once more, Orson Spencer spoke to his wife. Would she consider returning to her father’s home so that she might live to rear her family?
“Bring the Bible,” Catherine Spencer said to her husband.
He opened a trunk and brought out a worn leather-bound scripture, being careful to keep the rain from splashing on it. His hands touched the book with affection. His father had given it to him the day he graduated from theological seminary, one of the top members of the class.
Scriptures Supply Answer
Catherine Spencer smiled bravely at her husband. She was a small but sturdy woman, reared in a home of refinement, culture and affluence. Her husband, how sorrowful he looked, she thought. Not as he had once appeared, while preaching in the Middlefield Baptist Church as an ordained minister. Even the governor of Massachusetts had been a member of his congregation then.
“Read the first chapter in Ruth,” she asked. Orson Spencer’s eyes filled with tears. He could hardly see the print , but he knew the words:
“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:”
A small, frail and tired hand reached out and found Orson Spencer’s hand. He held it tightly, shivered in the cold and listened to the beating rain on the canvas wagon top. “I would rather abide with Church, in poverty even in the wilderness, without their aid, than go to my unbelieving father’s house and have all he possess,” whispered the mother.
A night or two before she died, she said to her husband with unwonted animation, “A heavenly messenger has appeared to me tonight and told me I had done and suffered enough, and that he had come to carry me to a mansion of gold.”
They took Catherine to a nearby cabin. Before she died she called the children to her and gave them a kiss. “Oh you dear children, how I hope you may fall into kind hands when I am gone,” she said. To her husband she said, “ I love you more than ever, but you must let me go.” Asked if she had anything to say to her father’s people, she replied, “Charge them to live the gospel.”
The cold, tired body was returned to Nauvoo and buried at night, beside the grave of their (eighth) child, a little (girl) who had lived only 13 months. There were few in Nauvoo who mourned. Those who cared had been driven out.
On To Winter Quarters
Motherless, the children and their father found their way to Winter Quarters, 150 miles away. Here a cabin was built by Orson Spencer – not for himself, but for the children alone. He had received a call to serve a mission in England to edit the Millenial Star. Soon other huts mushroomed about and by the time snows fell again the next winter more than 3,000 refugees had crowded into 700 log and sod buildings.
During the summer 500 hundred of the able-bodied men had marched away to do battle in a war with Mexico. They left Winter Quarters singing “The Girl I left Behind Me.” It was the start historic march of the Mormon Battalion.
From somewhere Orson Spencer managed to get 10 cows, a donkey, a few supplies. He asked neighbors, James and Mary Bullock, to keep an eye on his children. The o ldest was now 14.
Answers Mission Call
Tearfully he embraced each one and then set out for England, he was to remain away for one, two, and three winters. But that first winter was the hardest. The donkey and all but one of the cows died. Food was scarce, and they were finally limited to cornmeal. Wilford Woodruff learned of the children’s plight, admired their pride and furnished them flour and pork.
Then they came down with the measles. Letters arrived from England, but no money. Brigham Young called on the children. “Would they care if their father remained in England another year?” he asked. The children could go to the Rocky Mountains, he would help them. “If it is thought best,” said Ellen, the eldest, “we would like it so, for we want to do for the best.” The others voiced their agreement.
So it was that they crossed the plains walking most of the way, the wagons were too loaded with precious supplies to carry those who could walk. It took five months to make the trek. They reached the Salt Lake Valley. A year later their father returned to them.
The third oldest child, Aurelia, lived, matured and grew to womanhood. She married Thomas Rogers, settled in Farmington, raised 12 children and died in 1922, she was 87. In 1878 she helped organize and was set apart as the first president of the first Primary in the Church. Today Aurelia Spencer Rogers is recognized as the “Mother of the Primary.”
One wonders: What would have become of this great lady – a daughter of Zion and a mother in Israel – had her own mother, Catherine Spencer, that night on the wintery plains, decided to return to (New York) and her father’s home?
Two questions to think about before reading this story:

1. How long does it take to kill, skin and cook a rabbit by somebody who has never done it?
2. Does the family below look like they have never tasted chicken?

Many Latter-day Saints have heard President Monson tell a Christmas story about his own toy train, and giving a train car to a less-fortunate friend in the neighborhood. Another Christmas story he wrote about involved two rabbits that he gave to a friend who — when asked what his family was having for Christmas dinner — said he didn't know, and had never tasted chicken or turkey.

He later wrote that he shed tears as he put two of his own rabbits in a bag for his friend, "but there was a warm feeling in my heart (later) ... when he told me this was the best Christmas dinner he and his family had ever had." Ensign, December 1995

So why does the church continue to present folklore as fact?
b. Because it will prove that their leaders have no power of discernment.
c. Because it shows that their lesson manuals are not inspired.
d. Because they would have to correct the church record going back generations.
e. Because they will NOT apologize.
f. Because they would have to re-translate 100's of church manuals and talks.
November 1835
The book called the Doctrine and Covenants was published in 1835 in Kirtland, Ohio. The Emma Smith revelation was put in Section 48. A conditional clause is added to Emma's revelation. In the 1831 version, Emma was called an "Elect Lady", but in the 1835 version it is given "IF THOU ART FAITHFUL and WALK IN THE PATHS OF VIRTUE".

Fear of Causing Suffering of Others. (If you don't do Family History / Temple work, your dead family members are suffering in spirit prison for 100's of years.)

Fear of Death. (If you forget to pray before leaving the house, or drink coffee or eat out on Sunday)

Fear of Shunning, (If you wear the wrong cloths, say the wrong thing, express doubt, don't serve a mission)

Fear of Eternal Suffering, (If you have even sinned once and haven't repented)

Fear of loss of Family, (If they go to Celestial Kingdom and you don't)

Fear of Loss of Blessings, (If you fail to pay tithing or read you scriptures or pray or do Home Teaching)

Fear of Financial Ruin, (If you don't pay 100 percent tithing or do your calling)

Fear of Judgement, (By God, by bishop, by people in class, by neighbors)

Fear of Embarrassment, (If your house, car, kids, lesson, talk isn't perfect)

Fear of the Second Coming, (Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, death torture)

Fear of Damnation (If you tell secret temple handshakes, or oaths)

No wonder Mormons have some of the highest depression rates in the world. Everything we do is motivated by fear.

It is cruel and yet effective. I wonder how many Mormon's attend Church and pay tithing only out of fear. I would say most. This defines a cult.

Glossary:
Dunn:

Paul H. Dunn told lies for years that went unnoticed by the "Prophets, Seers and Revelators" who were supposedly speaking to God.

Translation:

Several books and documents show evidence that Smith really couldn't translate.

Coffee:

Even with several health benefits, coffee will prevent a parent from seeing a child's marriage or participating in church.

White:

100 Percent of the Prophets and Apostles have been white.

Perfection:

Depression and suicide are unfortunate results of the expectation to be perfect.

Misogyny:

Women have been traded, abused, mocked and ignored throughout LDS history.

Doors:

Old men ask young boys and girls sexual questions behind closed doors.

Noah:

Mormons still claim a universal flood and a God that commits genocide.

Polyandry:

Joseph Smith sent men on missions and had sex with their wives.
Hat:
For 2500 years the Golden Plates were supposedly created, engraved and saved from destruction and yet Smith wrote the Book of Mormon by looking into a hat.
Myths:
Visits by God, Jesus and various angels have been made up years after the fact to support a narrative that the Mormon Church is special.
DNA:
The Book of Mormon story is continually disproved by a mountain DNA evidence as well as a lack of archaeology.
Free:
Knowing these truths will truly set you free.

LGBTQ:

Doctrines related to LGBTQ members demonstrate an uninformed and cruel leadership.

Science:

Ignored when convenient, embraced when supportive.

Mall:

Billions spend on luxury while children starve and suffer.

Teen:

Old men having sex with teenage girls and claiming that God commanded it.

Old:

Church leadership is out of touch with most of humanity.

Horse:

Making up excuses for serious anachronisms in the Book of Mormon.

Predator:

Joseph Smith stalked and raped young girls and married women.

Polygamy:

The Church will not admit the evil and abuse this doctrine is still causing.

Tyrant:

Brigham Young's lies, abuse and oppression are insidious.

Racism:

LDS doctrine and scriptures are still filled with racism today.

Money:

Billions of dollars and millions of hours are spent doing rituals that help nobody.

Handshakes: Secret handshakes, costumes, oaths and chants show the Mormon Church is really a cult.
